Yassine defeats Grublys on points
27/03/2010
Yassine El Macchi in his final warm up fight before his first title contest defeated Tomas Grublys on points in Dagenham.
Yassine will be the first to admit that he was not at his best. However Yassine was disgruntled at being given only 5 minutes notice before the fight was commencing and virtually all his fans were left outside in the cold as the doors that were scheduled for opening at 6 did not open until 7 and Yassine was already fighting at that time.
Despite this Yassine won every round and put Grublys on the floor.
Yassine now looks forward to the 24th April and his first championship contest when he competes for the vacant International Masters Light-Middleweight title against Frenchman Bertrand Aloa at York Hall on a Goodwin Promotions show.
We can guarantee that Yassine will have plenty of time to warm up and all his supporters will be in the arena in plenty of time to watch him perform and hopefully win his first belt.
